|Wainscots & Trims|
Wainscots & Trims show different tile layouts and different molded trim options while maintaining a classic and elegant look. Also shown are two elevations of how decorative wainscoting can continue into an ADA accessible shower stall.
Victorian styled tiles are generally square-edged, white body wall tiles fabricated in a 6" x 6" modular size (true 6" x 6", true 3" x 6") as well as 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" square, and 4" Hex. The 3" x 6" tile with high gloss majolica** glaze is often used for wainscots and may be referred to as "wainscot" tile or "subway" tile. The tiles are machine-made; thus are very regular and can be set with a minimal grout joint (1/16" - 3/32").
We currently offer tile in "Historic White" -- a glaze that matches old historic tiles sent to us, and "Aged Parchment". A full complement of standard and decorative molded tile trim is also available. Prices are dependent on color and quantity.
** The term "majolica" tile, in this case, refers to high gloss, translucent glazes over a machine-made (square-edge) white body tile.
